Balancing energy price

Average price of engaged balancing energy in upward direction, used for determining the Risk Value in case of BRPs’ non-fulfillment of the payment obligations (according to Section 3.8 of the Market Code) and financial calculation of the unbalanced daily schedule (according to Article 6.5.5 of market Code), for year 2021 is 55,675 EUR/MWh, for year 2022 97,447 EUR/MWh, and for year 2023 295.475 EUR/MWh.

Average price of engaged balancing energy in upward direction for calendar year Y is weighted price of engaged balancing energy in upward direction from 1st of October Y-2 till 30th of September Y-1.

Last resort supply

The right to last resort supplies has the end consumer of electricity that does not have the right to guaranteed supply, in accordance with the provisions of the Energy Law, in the case of:

1) the bankruptcy or liquidation of the supplier who had supplied them up until then;
2) termination or revocation of the license of the supplier who had supplied them up to that time;
3) not finding a new supplier after the termination of the supply contract with the previous one, unless the termination of the contract is a consequence of the non-fulfillment of the payment obligation by the end consumer.;
4) not finding a new supplier after the termination of the supply contract with the previous one, and belonging to the category of consumer to whom suspend the suply of electricity cannot be suspended in case of non-fulfilment of payment obligations, in accordance with the Energy Law.

The supplier who will perform the last resort supply and the price of the last resort supply shall be determined by a decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
